PH365 Responsible Play: Keeping Gambling a Choice You Make
Gambling should stay a choice.
This page sets out how to keep it one. It applies to every page of this site and to any play you do at PH365 or anywhere else. The age line comes first: PAGCOR’s responsible gaming code says persons younger than 21 are not allowed to play, and this site is written for adults 21 and over.
Limits you can set yourself
The strongest limits are the ones decided before a session starts. Three are worth setting on day one.
- A spend limit: the most you will deposit in a week. Keep that money apart from bills and savings.
- A loss limit: the most you will lose in a period before you stop. The loss limit entry in the money glossary explains how platforms enforce one.
- A time limit: a stop time for each session, set with an alarm on your phone.
The bankroll management entry shows how to turn a monthly amount into session budgets. Write the numbers down. A limit that lives only in your head is easy to renegotiate at midnight.
PAGCOR’s exclusion programme
When a personal limit is not enough, PAGCOR runs a formal exclusion programme under its responsible gaming code. The code describes three types: self exclusion, family exclusion, and exclusion initiated by a licensee.
For self exclusion, the code says you apply with RG Form 2, a photocopy of a valid government ID and a 2x2 photo taken within six months, and choose an exclusion period of 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. The first six months cannot be reversed, and the order lifts on its own when the period ends. Forms are available through PAGCOR’s regulatory pages and at PAGCOR-operated and regulated gaming sites. Family exclusion lets a close family member apply on a player’s behalf, with its own form and documents.
Warning signs
Pause and take stock if any of these sound familiar: chasing losses, spending more than planned, hiding play from people close to you, borrowing to gamble, or feeling restless when you try to stop. Gamblers Anonymous publishes 20 questions that help you look at your own play honestly, and it lists meetings in the Philippines.
Where to get help
Two lines answer in the Philippines.
- The National Problem Gambling Helpline, a joint project of PAGCOR and Seagulls Flock Organization, Inc., lists landline (02) 824 89568. Its page says the service is free, confidential and available 24/7, answered by trained para-counselors and licensed mental health professionals, and that it is not an emergency line.
- The NCMH Crisis Hotline, run by the National Center for Mental Health, answers on 1553 or 1800-1888-1553 for anyone in crisis or immediate danger.
The 1553 hotline page lists the crisis line’s mobile numbers as well. If you are helping someone else, both lines also support family members.
What this site does and does not do
This site holds no account, deposit or balance of yours and cannot close or limit a PH365 account. For an account pause, ask the lobby’s own online chat. For how this site is written and funded, read about this PH365 reference site.
